COVID OPENS DOORS TO DONORS
Even in times of disaster businesses, churches and caring individuals opened their hearts and hands in donating funds, food and clothes to UZWELO HOME and UROC. The pandemic impacted the lives of many children negatively – parents were left unemployed without income. Feeding schemes were halted and schools in rural areas did not continue any form of learning for a lengthy time.
MONDI and Gift of the Givers made generous contributions to impoverished communities.
The Department of Social Development was actively involved in providing food parcels.
Food Forward has come on board and UROC benefits from this partnership.
800 MASKS were collected and distributed to protect children in Uzwelo and UROC’s care.
A kind and special gesture of children sharing gifts with other children less fortunate.
